A New Year

Thanks to everyone who came out to my booth at Eugene Holiday Market! I hope the Holiday Gifts have found their new homes! It was so nice to see familiar faces again and new ones as well! My next show is the Portland Home & Garden show Feb 24-28th. If you'd like to see my new paintings before the show, sign up for my email newsletter!

END OF SUMMER NEWS!

NEWS!

AUG 28, 2009
I hope everyone is having a great summer! Thanks to everyone who came out to see me at art festivals!

A few specials:

SPECIAL #1: I have a bunch of prints I have to discontinue simply because I have too many to manage so I am offering a free randomly selected signed print of discontinued images (5x7 or 8x10) for all web orders of any amount for the next 2 weeks (through Sep 14).

SPECIAL #2: One free t-shirt (100% heavy weight cotton, pre-shrunk, adults and kids!) of your choosing for orders over $75. Just enter the shirt you want in the comment line. (Until Sep 14th)

SPECIAL #3: I recently went to visit a family member in an intensive care unit and was utterly dismayed that there was no art in any of the rooms! I feel that art heals and that unwell people should have something pleasant to look at. My next big project is to get art into hospitals - not just my art but many different kinds of art. I hope to start a non-profit to purchase art from artists and donate to hospitals. I think its too important of a need to leave to the hospital budget committees that don't prioritize art for patients. Since I don't have that organization set up yet I am offering my own art to hospitals at a 30% discount. If you know any medical facilities in dire need of art who might benefit from this, please spread the word!

Art Fairs aren't over yet - I'm on my way to Bumbershoot in Seattle Sep 5-7, then Boise, ID, Corvallis, OR, Issaquah, WA and Half Moon Bay, CA. More dates and details on my Events Page I hope to see you all there!

Winter Update

Hi Everyone,
I apologize for the long delay in blogging. I have been busy painting and its been really fun. I am now also reaching out to pediatric offices. I hear so often how my art makes people happy and I thought what better place to have uplifting art then a pediatric hospital. What I would love more than anything is to have my artwork in hospitals or offices that needed cheering for the kids and parents. If you or your company would like to sponsor donations of prints or originals to pediatric institutes, orphanages, etc. please contact me at 541.225.7456! Thanks, Noelle

Bird with Very Large Feet

What is he thinking? Is he sorry he has big feet? Can he still fly? Is he hot standing in the sun? Why is he standing there? Yes he can still fly, he enjoys life to the fullest, the other birds make fun of him, but he doesn't mind because he is good hearted, kind and forgiving.

Blue Poppies

ok, this one painting a day is going to be really challenging! I have most of my art fairs in the summer and it gets so crazy busy (which is all good!) but it means that I either sell my little paintings before they even make it to my blog or they don't get put on there at all. Hopefully I can be better about this!!

I am having a lot of fun painting poppies. I can't explain it but they make me so happy to paint and I've been painting a lot of them with different colors. I think its because they remind me of little people or beings, kind of looking off dreamily into different directions. Maybe daydreaming about something.

A boy and his dog

You might be wondering what the deal is with the alien paintings. There are no limitations when painting these, that's why I love to paint them. I can paint whatever shapes and colors I like and I can paint them as cute as I like. I'm not even sure if these are aliens. They might be little monsters! Whatever they are, they have the same emotions as a little boy might when he has bonded to his first pet.
